Local Q-Community members will provide a core foundation of peer-supporting contributors within this Qnet and will undertake a multitude of roles including that of coaching. Peers across areas and specialties will discover similar projects and team up collaboratively and supportively to achieve a common goal. Qnet and Qspace would also provide the architecture to run focus groups and workshops targeting hot topics and recent themes.

Activity can be logged and encouraged in a constructive, supporting way. Peer support would be a core element of this environment and structure. Through the development of the Qspace a natural network (Qnet) will develop connecting individuals and groups. This will create a collaborative peer-supported community. This may include successes, practical tips, sharing problems or difficulties, sharing knowledge and building relationships.
#Qspace architecture series
Here, we hand over to a series of invited contributions and originally commissioned pieces which engage with the work of this project and offer something new in return. To provide peer support through the development of a physical and or virtual space (Qspace) where all groups and or individuals within the organisation can meet to discuss Quality Improvement projects. Race, Space & Architecture is a hostess of engagements. We are interested in lively thought, the fuzzy edges of ideas-in-formation and the crafting of weird ruptures which bring to the fore that which ordinarily lies beyond. We see this platform huddling in amongst these works, adding to the chorus such that all our voices might be amplified. These bright lights have been navigational stars, providing realms of thought which we have sought to signal boost, bring into dialogue with one another and reflect on in this work.

Race, Space & Architecture is a platform of constellations: projects, ideas, writings and provocations that have and continue to inspire this work. Race, Space & Architecture is a gathering of soundings: gifted by contributors to the curriculum and students who are already engaging with its themes. Race, Space & Architecture is a poster series: to be printed, packaged and posted, pandemic permitting, and freely offered open access to print at home meanwhile. How is ‘race’ configured differently across space, and how can a more expansive understanding of entangled world space broaden our imagination for teaching. What are the inventive repertoires of refusal, resistance and re-making that are neither reduced to nor exhausted by racial capitalism, and how are they spatialised?.What are the spatial contours of capitalism that produce racial hierarchy.Race, Space & Architecture is an open access curriculum shared as a work in progress. Here, we engage with three questions: This is a project of many voices and, as the visual language of the platform speaks to, of many hands, minds, bodies and imaginaries too. Care for the contributions of text, image, film, drawing and all of the labour – physical and intellectual – which this entails. Race, Space & Architecture is a project a long time in the making. Manufactured in the magic, elastic now-now time of Southern Africa (from where its creators all hail), this is a site which has been pressed into being with care.
